Martin Volunteers is a program of United Way that recruits volunteers for non-profit agencies in Martin County.

The mission of the organization where this opportunity is located is to help seniors live young at any age by remaining independent, healthy and living in their own homes.

Help make a senior's day special this Thanksgiving by assisting in the kitchen of this agency on Thanksgiving Day. Substitute volunteers are also needed to help deliver meals on one of several routes. Don't want to deliver meals but still want to make their day special? Whip up a batch of Thanksgiving cookies, brownies, cupcakes or a special treat to be delivered with their meal. NO NUTS PLEASE! Thanksgiving cards to be delivered with the meals would also bring a smile to their faces. Over 400 seniors receive meals each week so please lend a helping hand. Volunteers delivering meals must be trained prior to Thanksgiving Day.

Still want to help but will be away? Donate any unused cooler or gardening gloves for use by the volunteers to deliver meals. We love our seniors in Martin County - let's make Thanksgiving special this year.
