Youth Services

The Salvation Army Emergency Family Shelter needs a volunteer to make regular trips to Target to pick up items donated by Target Fayetteville. These items are of huge help to the Emergency Family Shelter, and without someone to pick them up.
Volunteers will use their own vehicle to pick up the items at Target Fayetteville, and then bring them to the Emergency Family Shelter at 749 S Warren St.
Target runs are Monday and Friday. We are looking for regular volunteers, but if you could sponsor one day a week, we can have other volunteers sponsor the other days. Generally, they prefer someone to come in the late morning. 11 am or later. It's good if they have a larger vehicle (SUV or crossover) as sometimes the boxes are quite large. Typically, Target donates perishable foods, so the donations need to be brought to us right away (can't sit in the car, especially in nice weather); sometimes there are cleaning supplies or other donated items, but usually just perishable foods. We will have people to help you unload when you arrive at the Shelter.
