Our elderly patients and residents really look forward to ice cream sundaes on Sundays! Every Sunday, from 2-3:30pm, our volunteers load up the ice cream cart, and go room to room offering patients a tasty afternoon treat and a little friendly conversation. This is a great opportunity for individuals, small groups, or families! We ask for a 3-month commitment, and right now the 2nd Sunday of each month is available. Since you will be entering patient rooms, a background check is required for all adults, for which there is a $20 fee. You can complete all facets of the training/orientation/background check online and be volunteering within a week. If you'd like to stop by for a tour before you commit, that's fine, too- we can easily set that up! Please let me know if you're interested, and I will get back to you within 1 business day.
