You’re invited to volunteer at YWCA Silicon Valley’s 27 th annual Inspire Luncheon.
Volunteer to experience a heartfelt and iconic YWCA event that will leave you feeling inspired and empowered. Known as one of the most highly anticipated and recognized events in Silicon Valley, YWCA’s Inspire Luncheon has raised over $7.5 million to power the mission of the YWCA to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
We are excited to welcome Elizabeth Smart as this year’s Inspire Luncheon keynote speaker. Elizabeth is an advocate for change related to child abduction, recovery programs, and National legislation, and is a survivor herself, with an incredibly heart wrenching yet triumphant journey.
Interested in volunteering?
- EVENT DAY TEAM - 40 Volunteers: Nov 8, 2017, 7:30am- 3:00pm. Santa Clara Convention Center, 5001 Great America Parkway, Santa Clara, CA 95054. Parking is free. Lunch & Volunteer t-shirt Opportunity to hear the speakers provided.
Activities include: greeting 1,200+ guests; overseeing the registration table and name-tag station; and event take-down.
Must be available to arrive on time and volunteer the full shift - no exceptions.
Volunteer roles are delegated by the YWCA on a first-come, first-served basis.
No previous experience of this event is required.
Must have a "willingness to do what needs to be done".
Must be over 18 years old and fluent in English.
We welcome new Volunteers, small groups, and individuals seeking educational community service hours.
You must be REGISTERED to volunteer for this event. Walk-ins are not permitted.
To become registered you must sign-up using the relevant link(s) below AND return before Nov 1, 2017 the Event Volunteer Information Form sent to you within 2 business days after signing-up.
Additional information on your role/responsibilities is shared with you after you are officially registered to volunteer.

Description
At YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley, one of the first multiservice agencies in the Bay Area, we are rooted in our Theory of Change which requires a continuum of response to the challenges of racism, sexism, and gender-based violence. That's why we offer direct services to meet immediate needs, issue education to change hearts and minds in our local communities, and legislate advocacy to change the rules and systems in order to achieve greater equity and justice for all.
