ORGANIZATION: Edgewood Center for Children and Families

Edgewood is looking for folks who have enthusiasm, a passion for working with youth and a skill to share.

As a volunteer, you will be asked to co-facilitate a weekly athletic/sports class for a group of 2-4 youth. Each group would be supported by 1 to 2 counseling staff.

Research indicates that group-based therapeutic activities have been shown to improve overall functioning, increase hope and decrease depressive symptoms. Exposure to novel experiences (such as sports, art, dance, cooking, yoga, etc) can elevate mood and confidence while helping children and youth develop needed skills.

Come join the Edgewood community and meet some of our amazing kids!
