Are you interested in supplying fresh food to your community? The Farm Site Assistant will support the Corbin Hill Site Coordinator in managing fresh food distribution at one of our Farm Share locations. The Farm Site Assistant should feel comfortable engaging members and co-facilitating distribution. This is a perfect volunteer position for those who are passionate about working with communities and are passionate about local food systems, food justice, health disparities, public health, and nutrition. Farm Site Assistants will receive complimentary fresh produce when they participate at sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the logistics of distribution through: s et-up, review distribution list, review share composition, arrange and display produce, and assist Shareholders to collect their items.
Support Shareholder Engagement by c reating a warm and engaging community at site by building connections with Shareholders, and inquiring about tastes and offering recipes.

Corbin Hill Food Project (CHFP) is a New York City community based organization whose mission is to supply fresh food to that need it most. Launched in 2009, CHFP is a mission-driven non-profit that works with local supply partners to distribute fresh food through its Farm Share and Institutional and programs. Guided by values of social justice, food sovereignty and racial equity, CHFP works to intentionally serve vulnerable populations.
