We are looking for volunteer co-facilitators and/or teaching assistants. Volunteer co-facilitators would be previously trained/knowledgeable on the curriculum and team-teach a workshop(s) with another volunteer or staff member. Teaching assistants would help with set-up and individual one-on-one assistance throughout the workshop(s). Time commitment can range from 2hrs/week to 2hrs/month.

We are looking for volunteers who are comfortable working directly with youth. The youth participants may become frustrated with the work. We need people who are patient and communicative.

Series Description:

YTECH Digital Lifehacks: a series of 6 workshops targeted for young adults experiencing or at risk of homelessness, focusing on real-world digital skills that will increase participant access to employment, education and other important resources, including housing and healthcare. Participants will have the opportunity to earn laptops, tablets and internet connection through hotspots.


Workshops:

Desktop/Laptop Basics (Monday, December 4th 4-5pm)

Social Media/Email Monitoring (Tuesday, December 5th 4-5pm)

Microsoft Excel (Monday, December 11th 4-5pm)

Microsoft Word/Speed Typing (Tuesday, December 12th 4-5pm)

LinkedIn (Monday, December 18th 4-5pm)

Online Job Searching (Tuesday, December 19th 4-5pm)




Requirements:

18+ years of age
Background Check required (dependent on number of volunteer times)
