Volunteer with the Gallery 263 Music Program!

Gallery 263 is looking for volunteers to help run and promote our regular, intimate music events! If you are interested in learning more about music booking, putting on performance events, and being part of a community art gallery, we'd love to hear from you!

Gallery 263 proudly hosts a wide variety of emerging musicians from Boston and beyond. Folk acts, singer-songwriters, jazz artists, indie bands, and classical musicians are equally at home in our space. The tin ceiling, hardwood floors, and ever changing exhibitions help to create a unique experience for performers and audience alike. With a capacity of 50 guests, our space is particularly suited to acoustic and minimally amplified styles. A regular, acoustic open mic night is a new addition to our calendar and offers great opportunities to share your own music, if you'd like, and meet many other local musicians!

We ask that interested volunteers attend an existing event (upcoming performances can be found here: http://gallery263.com/programs-and-events/music/) to learn the ropes for hosting a show at Gallery 263. Hosting generally involves helping musicians set up (they provide their own equipment, if any is needed), setting up the space, greeting attendees at the door and collecting the suggested donation, and generally helping to creative a positive atmosphere for musicians and guests! It's a great opportunity to connect with local and touring musicians and with fellow music-loving community members - and to see amazing performances for free! If of interest, there are also opportunities to help with event promotion and documentation, and to contribute to music booking efforts. Bring a free +1 to each show you host!
