We are looking for a Community Counselor to serve as a mentor for our international au pairs!
Super part time position, would only need around 3-5 hours per month to start. You would be meeting with the young ladies to answer questions, show them around, help them get acclimated to the US and get in touch with host families! Not only will you help young people from around the world, you will also get to know better the families in your own area!
By getting involved as a Community Counselor, you will be making a difference in the world - one young person at a time. As a EurAupair Community Counselor, you'll be that all-important point person for au pairs placed in your area during their year abroad, and for the host families in your area during their program year. Counselor, advocate and friend are just some of the roles you will play as you oversee the EurAupair program in your area and help the au pairs and host families get the most out of their year together.

The EurAupair program is currently seeking community volunteers who can help provide guidance for au pair exchange visitors as they adjust to their new language, family, community and country; help to instill an appreciation for the United States and its people; work to cultivate tolerance and understanding on a people-to-people level; in short, help to bring the world closer through cultural exchange. Are you proud of your local community and heritage?Are you interested in helping to nurture relationships between bright, receptive young people from France, Germany, Spain, Scandinavia, South Africa, China, Colombia and American Host Families in your own neighborhood? Description
To be a liason between the host family and the au pair. To act as a mentor to an au pair (aged 18-26) during their 12month stay with their host family. Interview and screen host families, phone host families once per month and meet in person once per month with au pair. Assist with getting others involved with the program.
