Raise the Roof Dinner & Auction: Event Volunteers Needed!

Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County and Greater Apopka is now recruiting event volunteers to help facilitate our largest event of the year!

Raise the Roof is a distinctly casual gala that celebrates our mission to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter right here in our community. It consists of a silent auction and dinner where guests decorate themed tables and wear themed costumes!

This is a great opportunity for individuals and groups! All volunteers will have access to water and, depending on your shift, either a hot meal or snacks.

Volunteers will be able to choose from the following shifts:

Set-up Crew 1pm-3pm
The Set-Up volunteers will be tasked with setting up and decorating the event site prior to the event. Must be able to lift, bend, and reach as needed. The set-up volunteers will report to the volunteer coordinator and lead volunteers and will prepare a safe and pleasant environment for all attendees.

Event Crew 5pm-9pm
The Event team will be split into a few different teams- some will assist in the parking lot with loading and unloading vehicles and directing cars, we need volunteers at the registration table, volunteers to help serve food, and to guard the silent auction.

Clean-Up Crew 9pm-11pm
At the end of the night volunteers will be need to help take down tables, tents and other items, as well as gathering trash and assisting to clean the area utilized during the event. Our goal will be to leave the location in a better condition that we received it.
