The Salvation Army of Roanoke Valley visits local assisted living and nursing homes during the holiday season each year. We visit and talk with residents of these homes in hopes they feel loved and thought of by others. Visits can be in the morning or the afternoon and usually take an hour or two. The day and time are flexible. We need volunteers to reach out to our local homes and spend time with those who may not have social interaction often.
