Description
About the ALS Hope Foundation
The ALS Hope Foundation is an independent foundation headquartered in Philadelphia devoted to making a difference for people living with ALS. Our mission is to (1) support ALS patients and their families by providing excellent and compassionate care across multiple healthcare disciplines, (2) support basic and clinical research aimed at accelerating the cure, treatment and reversal of ALS, and (3) support education and other collaborative programs that foster progress towards offering a better quality of life for our patients, and eventually a cure.
The ALS Hope Foundation was established in Philadelphia in 1999 by Dr. Terry Heiman-Patterson and Dr. Jeffrey Deitch and is dedicated to providing support to programs for basic and clinical research leading to a cure for ALS, to clinical centers of excellence dedicated to the care and treatment of people with ALS, and for education about ALS research and the research process. Today the MDA/ALS Center of Hope at Temple University Hospital is well recognized as a pioneer in the multidisciplinary approach to medical care, which has now become the standard for ALS care.
We know that your donations directly support our work and are deeply grateful for the opportunities to provide care, education and research this gives us!
