MCHS needs volunteers to help decorate the shelter and man the stations for our Howl-O-Ween event. Decorations will need to be prepared and hung prior to the event, and volunteers to help at the event on October 28 4-7pm are welcome. The entire family is welcome to joins us for the event with games contests and prizes. Admission is free. Costumes are encouraged for all visitors, but not required. Volunteers interested should call 256-773-7222 and leave a message if there is no response.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to prevent cruelty, neglect, provide methods for animal adoptions, and educate the public about low cost spay and neuter programs. It is our intent to temporarily house rescued wild animals for release and adoptable domestic animals for adoption to the public. We also host a food pantry to aid in keeping families together during hard times.
Description
We are a NO kill animal shelter serving Morgan County, Alabama. All animals are spayed or neutered before being placed in a loving home. MCHS is operated by volunteers, and is a certifying organizations for the Presidental Volunteer Service Award.
