As a dog exerciser with Can Do Canines, you contribute to the health and welfare of dogs staying in our facility by engaging them in meaningful socialization and exercise. While prior dog walking/handling experience is helpful, it is not a requirement. However, this position requires volunteers to be on their feet standing and walking continuously for up to two hours. It includes intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling and twisting. Hand manipulation is required, as is pulling and simple power grasping. Volunteers in this position must be able to maintain physical control of dogs up to 90lbs.

We are seeking a few volunteers to commit to a weekly shift for three months. Here are the open shifts

  • Thursdays from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. or 1:30-3 p.m.
