More than 50,000 people attend this Celebration at the Station, annual family-friendly event that culminates in a patriotic concert by the Kansas City Symphony followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Volunteers are an integral part in creating a successful and enjoyable experience for our guests. Your time and enthusiastic participation allow the Kansas City Symphony give our community this free family-friendly musical experience.You’ll have a great time while enjoying a renowned community event.

Program Distribution: 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm or 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Distribute event programs to guests as they arrive. *Standing*
Crowd Control - Assist staff with keeping walkways and emergency pathways clear. *Standing/Walking*
Request monetary donations from the crowd, hand out mini-flags to donors. *Walking*
Instrument Petting Zoo - Introduce musical instruments to youth, answer questions about the orchestra. *Standing*
Approach attendees for a brief survey. *Walking/Standing* Guest Ambassadors: 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Information Booth: 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm or 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Description

The Kansas City Symphony serves a metropolitan population of 2 million people. The orchestra's 80 full-time musicians are area residents and vital contributors to the artistic life of Kansas City. During its forty-two week season, the Symphony performs a wide variety of subscription, educational, touring, and outreach concerts. In addition, the KCS performs for the Lyric Opera of Kansas City and the Kansas City Ballet.
