The Leelanau County Board of Commissioners is seeking a resident to serve a 2-year term on the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan Board, a federally designated Area Agency on Aging.
This Board is tasked with the responsibility to develop and maintain a comprehensive and coordinated system of services to area residents, age sixty (60) and over with priority given to serving the needs of older persons who are identified as having the highest economic and/or social needs. The Board is comprised of 15 members from Northwest Michigan, 1 of whom is appointed by the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners. Meetings are held at 1609 Park Dr., Traverse City.
