The Great Hutto Cleanup is a trash off and junk round up held annually as part of the Don't Mess With Texas Trash Off and Great American Cleanup. Since 2006, the Hutto community has come together every year in a day of service to pick up litter and help beautify the city as part of statewide initiative, the Don't Mess With Texas Trash Off. During this signature event, volunteers clean up litter and debris from parks and neighborhoods. The event also offers an opportunity for citizens to bring items such as tires, paint, oil, metal, and brush to the junk round up area for safe disposal. A wide variety of volunteers are needed the day of the event to help with litter cleanup and working the junk round up area. This is a great way to serve a community and is open to families, young adults, adults, etc. Volunteer as an individual or get a group or organization together to participate!
Volunteer check-in is 8am at the Hutto High School Visitors Parking Lot. Parking for volunteers is at Nadine Johnson Elementary School.
