During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Attend funerals of our hospice patients and make contact with the bereaved family members to offer condolences and deliver a note from our chaplain.
Often funerals occur at times when our hospice staff are seeing other hospice patients. It is our desire for bereaved family members to have bereavement support from the time of the death through the first full year of bereavement. Volunteers can offer comfort and help make contact with the bereaved family, especially at the time of the funeral. Funerals occur in Longview, Marshall, Kilgore, Carthage, Hallsville. Volunteers can choose which geographic area they would like to cover.
All training is provided and volunteers set their own schedules.
