Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma is producing two shows during the fall of 2017: ROCK OF AGES and A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Both shows take place at Lyric's 297-seat Plaza Theatre venue in the heart of Oklahoma City's Plaza District (NW 16th Street between Penn and Classen). ROCK OF AGES is a high-energy rock musical built around classic rock songs from the 1980s, and A CHRISTMAS CAROL is Lyric's Oklahoma holiday tradition based on the Charles Dickens' classic. (ROCK OF AGES does contain some adult content/situations; A CHRISTMAS CAROL is family-friendly.)
Volunteers are needed the hour prior to each performance to usher (meaning to scan tickets, direct patrons to their seats, and hand out programs) or assist with merchandise. In appreciation of your help, you will be given a ticket to see the performance for FREE!

Description
Lyric is the state's only regional theatre company that produces a year-round season of productions geared to all ages/interests. The season is comprised of intimate productions in the fall/spring at Lyric's 279-seat Plaza Theatre on NW 16th Street, and large-scale Broadway-caliber musicals produced during the summer at downtown Oklahoma City's 2,400-seat Civic Center Music Hall. Additionally, Lyric serves hundreds of local children through its Thelma Gaylord Academy program which offers structured, semester-based classes for ages 5-19, and reaches over 35,000 children annually across the state with its free arts outreach touring program, Musical Interactive.
