Computer-Assisted Learning (CAL) Tutors provide students in our Adult Basic Education program with access to a variety of online resources and one-on-one instruction to help build and grow their literacy and math skills.

CAL Tutors utilize digital resources to help beginning-level reading students learn letter-sound correlations and proper sound segmentation, as they prepare for study in our intensive phonics program. CAL Tutors may also help intermediate students access online content to practice reading, language, and math. The primary functions of CAL Tutors are assisting students with navigating the featured websites, and helping them master letter-sound correlations and sound segmentation through one-on-one instruction.
