Position Title: Preschool Fitness Hike Assistant
Position Description: The Preschool Fitness Hike Assistant will work with lead hike volunteer, Denise, to help greet everyone and make them feel welcome. Act as a sweep by staying at the back of the group and making sure everyone stays together and knows where they are going.
Purpose: To assist lead hike volunteer
Location: The hike takes place the 2nd and 4th Monday at 10am starting October through November.
Locations and distances for the hikes are as follows:
October 9th - Horse Barn Parking area (.75mi)
October 23rd - Adventure Center (.8mi)
November 13th - Nature Center (1.4mi)
November 27th - Nature Center (1.5mi)
Training: Onsite guidance provided
Reports to: Nature Center Manager, Sara Lee, at SaraLee@ASCGreenway.org or 803.547.1086.
Dress Code: Volunteer shirt (provided) and khakis or clean, non-ripped jeans/shorts, and closed toe shoes.

Description
Leroy Springs & Company has been providing recreational and educational opportunities to the communities surrounding Springs Industries facilities for over 60 years. In 1995, the Anne Springs Close Greenway, a 2,100 acre nature preserve in Fort Mill, South Carolina, was dedicated to the public to serve as a natural buffer from urban development and a place for countless activities - from hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, to picnics, kayaking and more.
The land was donated by the children of Anne Springs Close to honor her lifelong commitment to recreation and the environment. The Greenway is a not-for-profit entity which receives no ongoing tax dollars to build, maintain or operate its programs, trails and facilities. Owned and managed by Leroy Springs & Company, the Greenway is funded in part by memberships, program fees and generous donations from individuals and corporations.
