As a non profit with retail products we are somewhat unique. We need volunteers with marketing skills such as Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linked-in). Opportunities are open for anyone looking to help young adults with intellectual disabilities increase their independence skills. Our goal is to increase our brand awareness therefore providing additional employment opportunities for these young adults.
We would also benefit from teachers that are looking to provide educational / life skills such as reading, money math, social skills.
We are desperately seeking volunteers to assist with public relations.
As a new Board of Directors we would also benefit from someone with experience in Board Management

Providing job training, employment and housing for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Description
ScentsAbility was started to train young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities on job skills. We have a 1200 sq ft retail establishment that creates scented products for home and body. Our flagship product is candles and we have a factory as part of the retail store. We produce all products in our Coral Springs location and teach skills such as customer service, inventory, labeling, money management, sales, social skills and related work skills. In addition we will be starting our first private group home early 2018 in order to provide increased independence. Our young adults are extremely social, verbal and well behaved and are completely engaged in all activities and events.
