The Refugee Housing Coordinator Volunteer will work closely with the Refugee Reception and Placement (R&P) Team to secure appropriate housing for newly-arrived refugee families. The volunteer will also complete necessary documentation related to securing housing.
- Stay up-to-date on upcoming arrivals of new refugee families.
- Confirms U.S. Tie housing preferences.
- Contacts landlords to confirm vacancies.
- Completes Home Safety check on all apartments, and notifies landlord of housing concerns prior to accepting.
- Communicates finalized housing details, including availability and price to R&P Team.
- Updates Pending Arrivals Board with housing information.
- Other administrative or related tasks as needed.
