ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas

Refugee Social Services offers free case management consultations on Monday afternoons from 1:00-4:00 and Tuesday mornings from 9:00-11:00 for unassigned cases who have arrived within the past five years. The purpose of the volunteer screener is to determine the reason for the clients visit and assist case managers.

  • Work with clients through the screening documents to determine the reason of their visit and if they require an interpreter.
  • Utilize a live document to update information on the client for the case managers viewing.
  • Arrange for interpretation (if necessary) and answer simple questions clients may have.
