Mission Statement

CReATE gets assistive technology (AT) into the hands of people who need it. Our goal is to help people get low-cost mobility equipment with an easy process.

Description

CReATE, established in 2007, is a 501(c)3 that refurbishes donated mobility equipment and makes it available at a low-cost to Utahns with disabilities.

Devices are generally under $500, and no insurance or proof of disability is required for eligibility. CReATE has a certified Assistive Technology Specialist do wheelchair evaluations to ensure individuals receive appropriate devices. A funding specialist is also available to help those who may not be able to afford a mobility device.

CReATE helps keeps mobility devices out of landfills by reusing them. Parts and chairs unable to be used are recycled with reputable area companies. The money earned is put back into CReATE.
