Do you care about animals? Want to help them have a good life?
Jelly's Place is a new nonprofit animal rescue and shelter located in San Pablo. We need volunteers every day to help keep the shelter clean, organized, and the animals happy and well-cared for.
We need help with cleaning, organizing, fixing kennels, maintaining the yard clear of weeds, rebuilding dog areas (if appropriate help is available), washing bowls, cleaning cat litter boxes, doing laundry, and creating an improved space for cats.
Builders, contractors, and DIYers are needed to help install and chain link fence to create new dog run spaces and kennels, help maintain the existing kennels, painting, etc.
Non-construction related help is needed with socializing shy dogs and cats, brushing them, and walking/ playing with dogs and cats, walking dogs, interacting with the public and showing them adoptable animals, etc.
Animal trainers and patient kind people are needed to help shy and under-socialized dogs and cats come out of their shells, and groomers to help them look their best for adoption.
Office help with sorting, organizing, and filing is also needed.

Help is needed from 9am to 6pm any day, and you can volunteer for just a few hours, any day after your initial orientation. Groups are welcome! Children with parents are welcome too.

Orientation is on the first and third Saturday of the month at 10am.
