Every year, United Way’s Free Tax Preparation Campaign helps thousands of struggling families in the community file their taxes, access valuable and stabilizing tax credits, and keep more of what they earned. Last tax season alone, the campaign helped over 22,700 community members file their taxes and receive vital public benefits, bringing $30.5 million back to the community in tax refunds.
Join our talented team of volunteers, receive training that boosts your skills, and ensure clients receive tax credits that can help lift them out of poverty!
Volunteer Positions:
Tax Volunteer- Help file clients’ taxes (two-day training).
Volunteer Intake and Benefits Specialist- Screen clients for eligibility and connect them to free tax and other programs (one-day training).
