Laguna Art Museum seeks volunteers to act as "Beach Docents" during its annual Art & Nature Festival Thursday, November 2 - Sunday, November 5, 2017. Shifts are between two and three hours long, and volunteers may sign up for one or more shifts throughout the weekend.

In its annual Art & Nature festival, Laguna Art Museum presents special exhibitions, a commissioned outdoor work of art, lectures, panel discussions, films, and family activities on the theme of art’s engagement with the natural world.

For the fifth edition of Art & Nature, Mexican artist Pablo Vargas Lugo has chosen to place an art piece titled Seascape into the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

Beach Docents will be stationed on Main Beach along the boardwalk, and will provide visitors with information about Art & Nature, Laguna Art Museum, and the piece Seascape.

Shifts are as follows:

Thursday November 2nd
Art Walk Shift (5:45pm - 9:00pm)


Friday November 3rd
Shift One (11:00am - 1:00pm)
Shift Two (1:00pm - 3:00pm)
Shift Three (3:00pm - 5:00pm)
Shift Four (5:00pm - 7:00pm)

Saturday November 4th
Shift One (11:00am - 1:00pm)
Shift Two (1:00pm - 3:00pm)
Shift Three (3:00pm - 5:00pm)
Shift Four (5:00pm - 7:00pm)

Sunday November 5th
Shift One (11:00am - 1:00pm)
Shift Two (1:00pm - 3:00pm)
Shift Three (3:00pm - 5:00pm)
NO SHIFT FOUR ON SUNDAY

Volunteers can sign up for one or more shifts!

Seeking 6-8 volunteers per shift.

Attire: Professional and family-freindly, but comfy and casual. We'll provide t-shirts! Keep sun protection in mind.
