ORGANIZATION: American Lung Association in California

Volunteers needed for the annual LUNG FORCE Walk in Los Angeles and Irvine. The LUNG FORCE walk is a 5k non-competitive walk that promotes fun, fitness and our mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, advocacy and research.

Join us as we raise awareness and funds to fight against lung cancer and for lung health.

Event volunteers will provide day-of support for the LUNG FORCE Walk. Duties may include: cheering for participants, setting up signs, directing people to the parking lot, checking in participants, assisting with set-up of the festival area, after event break down and much more!

Saturday, November 4th, 2017- LUNG FORCE Walk at Mason Regional Park in Irvine

Volunteer Shift: 7:00am-1:00pm

Sunday, November 19th, 2017- LUNG FORCE Walk at CBS Studio Center in Los Angeles

Volunteer shift: 5:30am-9:00am or 7:00am-1:00pm

The American Lung Association in California is the leading organization dedicated to fighting threats to lung health including asthma, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), tobacco, and air pollution.

We support basic and clinical research through training and "seed" grants for beginning researchers, advocate for stronger clean air and tobacco control policies at the local and state level, and serve communities throughout California by providing numerous education and support programs to help children and adults living with lung disease.

Our focus is fighting for healthy lungs and clean air for all Californians.
