Mission Statement

Our Kids Count mission is to empower individuals to build stronger families and inclusive communities by enhancing their lives through personal growth and development.

Description

Our Kids Count (OKC) is a community development organization which builds stronger families and inclusive communities enhancing people's lives through personal growth and development. Our core funding is aimed at fostering the health and development of children ages 6 and under. OKC provides support to individuals of all ages-men, women, youth, teens and families with children. OKC involves participants in all aspects of program planning, implementation and evaluation.

In addition, we now provide the Big Brothers Big Sister program which delivers a one to one mentoring program which ensures that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential- as an individual and as a citizen- and that by doing so they will not only do well, they will do good. We also offer two program "game On' and "Go Girls" as well as the In-School Mentoring program. These would all provide new and diverse opportunities to develop the necessary skills to be a great leader.
