CASA Volunteers Needed: Training in Manchester
CASA of New Hampshire is preparing to train new volunteers to speak up in court on behalf of abused and neglected children from the region. CASA volunteers come from all walks of life - they are your neighbors, colleagues, fellow parishioners and friends.
A CASA volunteer is appointed to advocate for the child’s best interests. The advocate become the "eyes and ears" of the court, making independent, objective recommendations to the judge based on the information they have gathered through meeting with the child and his or her parents, foster parents, social workers, school teachers, therapists and more.
Trainings are held in communities around the state throughout the year. Training in Manchester will begin Wednesday, May 16th. Only volunteers accepted into CASA’s training program, after completing an application and going through our interview process will be admitted into training.
