The volunteer assists the director of development with identifying potential grant funding opportunities by searching grant opportunity databases and development publications. This is a great volunteer opportunity for someone who would like to get into grant writing and management. The interested volunteer should have excellent internet search skills and should be quick in grasping the various programs that need to be funded. A basic knowledge about how grants work and the different types of grants is helpful but not required.
