Weekday Gardening Assistants

Weekday Gardening Assistants is a hands-on program that is perfect for the volunteer who likes to work alone or one-on-one. Individual volunteers generally work the same morning each week to help the Garden Manager maintain a section of the gardens. This role includes planting, grooming, watering, and garden maintenance. Basic gardening experience required; training specific to each garden area is provided. Most gardening activity takes place from March through November, but there are tasks to be done year-round; work is weather-dependent. After attending an orientation session, volunteers are asked to commit to a Monday-Thursday shift between 9am-12pm and volunteer for at least 3 hours per month or 36 hours per year. Needed: 4 Gardening Assistants.
