Veteran With His Special Volunteer
Sea Crest Hospice recognizes Veterans through the We Honor Veterans program.

Unique Hospice Volunteer Opportunity for Veterans to spend quality time with fellow Veterans who are now facing end of life. Provide compassionate companionship, offer a listening ear, read to them, create life reviews, share music and your hobbies and so much more.

Sea Crest Hospice proudly participates in the We Honor Veterans Program.

Volunteers are a valuable part of the care that Sea Crest Hospice provides. Our flexible program welcomes people from all over Orange County and from all walks of life to join the Sea Crest Hospice Team. We have a place for you that will meet your busy schedule, location and specific strengths or interests. We are open to exploring volunteer internships, as well.

The volunteer provides a variety of support services and companionship to patients and their families in private homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities or in the office setting.

Our Hospice Patient Care Volunteers participate in a variety of ways to bring care, comfort and support to Sea Crest patients and their families. You might just hold their hand; just provide a listening ear ; share stories and memories; walk their dog; deliver flowers; run errands; sing songs together; write letters; read books; visit a Veteran; watch TV with them and much more...

Our Administrative Volunteers help in our office with filing, collating and other office duties as well as helping with special events. Computer skills are a plus!

Our Bereavement Volunteers offer their support during the bereavement period without prior assignment to the family and loved ones. Bereavement Volunteers work with the Bereavement Coordinator to provide emotional comfort through visits, calls, cards, facilitating support groups and during special days and events.

All Sea Crest volunteers go through an extensive training program that focuses on what terminally ill patients and their families may experience and teaches volunteers how to provide care, as part of the hospice team. Our training will give you the knowledge and skills you need to be confident and comfortable in your new role.

Mission Statement

Our Mission Sea Crest Hospice strives to uphold the dignity and quality of life for those faced with a life limiting illness by providing compassionate, professional care to our patients and their families in their time of need. Description

Sea Crest Hospice care is delivered with COMPASSION...

Hospice care at Sea Crest Hospice is a compassionate approach to health care that addresses the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients, their caregivers and families when curative measures may no longer be an option. Individualized care is provided by a specialized team of Sea Crest Hospice professionals who focus on pain, symptom management, support, quality of life, care and a sense of worth and dignity. Sea Crest Hospice strives to enable patients to live their lives fully. We provide opportunities for patients, caregivers and their families to better communicate and work towards resolving unfinished issues they may be experiencing, but mostly living each day to the fullest.

The focus of hospice is on caring, not curing, and in most cases care is provided in the patient’s home. Hospice may also be provided in nursing homes, assisted livings, board and cares or wherever the patient calls home. Hospice services are available to all patients regardless of age, religion, race, illness, national origin. Sea Crest Hospice believes that no individual receiving services should feel isolated or alone and that our presence will make a difference.
