Each year more than 500 volunteers help to make the 9NEWS Parade of Lights one of the Rocky Mountain Region's most popular holiday traditions! This year we are looking for 100 volunteers to place in Key Operations roles with greater operational responsibility. Duties will vary greatly, but may include: driving a Float in the Parade (experienced, professional drivers preferred), escorting units in the Parade, working with Parade Management in the staging area, and / or working in the Costume Room helping volunteers get in and out of costume. We also have many opportunities for volunteers to participate as Costumed Characters and walk with units in the Parade!

The 9NEWS Parade of Lights is the downtown Denver area's largest holiday tradition celebrating locally developed visual, musical, and performing arts.
Description
Downtown Denver Events, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that coordinates, promotes, conducts and sponsors the 9NEWS Parade of Lights and other events in the Downtown Denver area. This year will mark the 43rd annual marching of the Parade and will attract more than 400,000 locals who will enjoy watching the beautifully lit floats and giant helium character balloons and celebrating the beginning of the holiday season together.
