We are so excited to be able to start offering children's play and sandtray therapy as part of our Transitional Housing program for families who are homeless as a result of domestic violence. We want to create an inviting space out of this traditional office by adding a mural in the children's play therapy room. We are looking for someone who is comfortable designing the mural and painting it in consultation with the therapist and volunteer coordinator. Please send Lauren examples of things you have worked on in the past, as well as, what your availability would be like to work on it. Description
We provide 24-month transitional housing to families who are homeless as a result of domestic violence. We empower survivors of domestic violence through :
- Strength-based case management
- Individual financial counseling
- The goal of self-sufficiency
- Affordable housing search assistance
- Referrals for services such as abuse counseling, legal aid, and immigration
