The Friends of the Nuview Public library is seeking new volunteers to serve on it's membership board.

Do you love books and libraries?
Would you like to help support children's programs in your local public library?
Are you interested in helping in your community?
Do you have a couple of hours each month to dedicate to a great cause?
Do you have experience with fundraising or non-profit leadership?

If you answered "YES" to any of these questions, we would like to hear from you!

The Friends of the Nuview Public Library is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. They have been supporting our local public library branch for over 35 years. Through book sales, bake sales and other fundraising efforts, the Friends provide much needed support for story time programs, educational activities and speaker events.

The board members meet six (6) times per year. They have traditionally hosted two book/bake sales per year in the Spring and Fall. They are interested in transitioning over to online book sales in the near future. They also organize and sell items in the library. Members of the Friends group set up a booth at local festivals and share information about the library in the community.

The Nuview Library is a branch of the Riverside County Library system. The communities of Nuview and Lakeview have had library service in various locations for the better part of 90 years. Since 1995, the library has occupied a 2000 square foot building at the corner of Lakeview and 10th. We are open 20 hours per week, offering story time once per week and adult programs throughout the year.
