Do you have a knack for using visual images to make complex concepts accessible for all age groups and education levels? Are you skilled at crafting images and text into compelling digital designs? Are you passionate about wildlife conservation? Are you fascinated by nonhuman primates?

Through our humane education programs, New England Primate Conservancy is committed to leaving a legacy of hope, and tools to create a better tomorrow for all the Earth's citizens. We develop learning activities, engaging lesson plans, conservation stories, facts, presentations, videos, and a wealth of educational resources for one's personal interest or to create stimulating multi-disciplinary learning environments... because education is the heart of animal protection.

New England Primate Conservancy creates compelling graphic designs to promote our educational programs and messages of hope. We strive for visually appealing lucid presentation accompanied by a few gripping facts. To appeal to the masses, we avoid academic tones and scientific jargon. The goal is to provide information that is captivating and accessible to most age groups and education levels. This formula has been successful for us. A new venture on the horizon will take this "formula" to another level and we need your talents.

If you have the skills to create short educational videos as well to promote conservation and animal protection messages, this is a plus, but not required.

This volunteer position can be accomplished from you home, with close email and phone correspondence with the Education Team Director. You must have reliable internet and email access. Decent bandwidth is required if you will work on videos. NEPC will provide access to appropriate apps.

If you are a creative professional with well-hone graphic design experience and a passion for conservation and wildlife protection, this opportunity may be for you. Please email your letter of interest and resume.

About New England Primate Conservancy

Location:

PO Box 23, Merrimac, MA 01860, US

Mission Statement

New England Primate Conservancy is committed to leaving a legacy of hope and tools to create a better tomorrow for all of the Earth's citizens.

Description

Did you know that almost three-quarters of all primate species are threatened? All nonhuman primates are threatened by habitat loss caused by human activities. But there is hope. Since the problems are caused by human activity, they are preventable, repairable, and reversible. We can each take small steps in our daily lives, in our daily choices, to create change for the better.

In addition to raising awareness about our environmental impact, humane education strives to develop empathy and tolerance toward all creatures, which facilitates the leap to empathy and tolerance for differences in people. Over 30 years of studies confirm the direct correlation between abuse and neglect of animals and violence against people. By the same token, compassion for our fellow animals can be an indicator of our compassion for each other. When we protect and advocate for our fellow animals, we are part of a much larger solution. Join us. Contribute to the solution.
