Not racing but love to be part of the action? The YMCA would not be able to host this event without the help of great volunteers like you! Help is needed both on and off the course. The YMCA Halloween Run is a fun night of spooky fun, great company, and spectacular costumes. Come dressed up in your Halloween costumes and be there to support the runners of this one of a kind evening fun run!

We are looking for volunteers to help in various areas. These areas include:

Packet Pickup (6 volunteers needed)

-Helping participants receive their bibs and packets.

T-Shirt Tent (4 volunteers needed)

-Distributing racer t-shirts after they have picked up their packets.

Costume Contest Judges (3 Volunteers needed)

-Be a part of the fun and judge who the winner is of this spooktacular contest!

Starting Line Set up (8 Volunteers needed)

-Setting up flagging, banners, tents, scaffolding in the race area.

Finish Line Water Distribution (5 volunteers needed)

-Handing water to all the amazing finishers that just ran their hearts out!

Course Cheer Boosters (25 volunteers needed)

-Cheering on and making sure all runners know where they are going and to assist in course monitoring.

Award Distribution (2 volunteers needed)

-We have many categories for runners to place on the podium. Be the one to congratulate them and give them their awards or medals.

Refuel Station (2 Volunteers needed)

-There will be fruit and bagels for the racers to refuel. Be there to hand them some fuel to replenish their tired muscles.

Post-Race Take Down (10 volunteers needed)

-Taking down race equipment, course material and cleaning up race area.

Water Stations (10 volunteers needed)

-Providing water to runners throughout the course.

The YMCA Halloween Run is presented by Chobani. Choose from either the 1 mile or 5k course and run (for your life) on the Boise Greenbelt as the sun sets! Both courses start and finish in Ann Morrison Park.

The course will be batty with glowsticks, spooktacular t-shirts and wicked costumes.

Wear your costumes, neon or fluorescent clothing, glowsticks, lights and more...have fun and be creative! We’ll have a pre-race costume contest. The costume contest starts at 5:15pm so don’t miss it!
