Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin plans and coordinates various evidence-based classes for adults. The evidence based classes are through the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging: www.healthyaging.org

We need volunteers that are willing to lead discussion based classes with groups of older adults in the community. Classes are offered based on volunteer availability. Training is offered through the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging. Once trained, our goal is to plan on offering 1-2 programs a year. Contact the ADRC-CW about partnering with us as a volunteer to lead classes.

Stepping On is researched to reduce fall risks for older adults by 31%! The program is 7-8 weeks long and 2-3 hours a week. Volunteers will help with co-leading the program as there are always two leaders whenever the program is offered.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers: Focus on the family/friend that is the caregiver. Whether a spouse is caring for a spouse or adult child is caring for a parent, burnout is real. This class helps to teach self care for the caregiver.
