The Meals on Wheels program helps older adults who are unable to leave their home an opportunity to receive nutritious, hot meals at lunch time.

Under the guidance of staff, volunteers assist with the packaging of Meals on Wheels in preparation for the Volunteer Drivers to pick them up. Meals are packaged Monday through Friday. Volunteers begin about 8:30 am and finish up about 11:00 am. No cooking is done on site. Volunteers get the meals ready to go for the drivers to pick up the food and deliver meals to those in the community.

This is a fun and fast paced volunteer opportunity! Volunteers can help out once a month or a couple of days a week. Consider staying after the meal packaging to get the dining site set up for the senior dining program. Give us a call to talk about a schedule that would work for you.

Application and background check required. Food safety and program guidelines are covered during training.
