ORGANIZATION: NEW CALVARY COMMISSION FOR COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT INC

  • 23 people are interested

Christian Women's Job Corps of Southwest Atlanta is in need of committed volunteers in the role of mentor to the women. Each woman is assigned a mentor who commits to a six-month relationship. During the six months, the mentor and mentee must meet a total of 14 - one hour visits and have 14 phone calls.

This is a critical component of C.W.J.C. as the women need someone they can call on for encouragement and support once the program ends. Some mentor responsibilities are: contact mentee once a week, hold regular bible study with mentee, set long and short term goals, assist mentee in finding information to reach goals, etc.

All mentors for C.W.J.C. will receive mentor training and will learn more about C.W.J.C. along with specifics involved in the mentor relationship.
