UEA’s SMART Saturdays provide boys of color in the 3rd-7th-grade with experiential, project-based activities aligned with the standards of the San Francisco Unified School District ("SFUSD"). UEA’s year-round, research-supported engagement model gives students the extra learning time they need (approximately 280 additional hours per student over the school year alone) to improve their academic standing while providing the social and emotional skills critical to success in and out of the classroom.
