Readers Provide small group reading support to k-5 aged refugee and ELL youth during our after-school programming at Kent based Elementary Schools, including Scenic Hill, or Meadow Ridge. Join our our After-school Reading Program and gain valuable experience working with refugee, ELL, and other elementary school students in a fun and engaging classroom environment. This is a wonderful chance to get to know newly arrived English language learners from across the globe, or to earn hours for a TEFL practicum.

From 3-5PM on weekday afternoons
Volunteers will: -Read with students to help bring them up to grade level. -Facilitate games and activities. -Provide interpretation support to volunteers, parents and students. -Monitor students' classroom behavior and encourage a positive classroom environment. -Provide feedback to CRB staff on student progress and/or struggles on a consistent basis. -Abide by all of CRB's established protocols, codes of conduct, and procedures.
