The Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network (EFPN) supports the BackPack Buddies Program. This program provides low income children with a backpack of nonperishable food each week. Once a month we supplement the backpack with an apple or orange. We are looking for a volunteer or a team of volunteers to purchase the fruit, divide the fruit among the participating schools and deliver the divided fruit to the Midland Public School's bus garage. The fruit delivery is done on one Tuesday each month and the fruit needs to be delivered by 12:00. The BackPack program runs October thru May.
