This volunteer opportunity is more than you might imagine. We have three categories of volunteering: Patient Care, Administrative, and Bereavement. Within each of those, you are limited only by your imagination. In patient care, you can: listen and support the patient/family, sing/play music, write letters, prepare meals, run errands, make phone calls, cook a meal, attend a caregiver support group, plant flowers, make repairs, organize, etc. In administrative, you can: file medical records, assist with data entry, prepare patient mailings, answer phones, etc. In bereavement, you can: assist with funeral planning, "house sit" for a family while they attend a funeral/memorial, attend a bereavement support group.
