ORGANIZATION: Community Resources, Inc.

  • 5 people are interested

Community Resources' Academic Mentors Project creates opportunities for high achieving, ambitious 5th - 11th grade Denver Public School students who have a passion or interest in a particular topic to connect with community volunteers who share that area of passion. Currently, the program is recruiting a male artist to work with a talented 5th grade student who attends school in the Stapleton neighborhood. Ideally this mentor would be willing to work with the student at the school and would be interested in helping the student with pencil/pen drawings.

Volunteers are asked to commit a total of six hours over the course of 3-6 meetings. All mentorships begin and end in the current school year. For more information, visit Community Resources' website www.communityresourcesinc.org or contact Laura Kent, Program Manager at laura_kent@dpsk12.org or 720-424-6554.
