ORGANIZATION: Girl Scouts of West Central Florida

Troop Helper (Kindergarten- 12th Grade)

Support Girl Scout staff in program delivery, girl mentorship, and supporting our program leaders and girls during their Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Serving in Hillsborough, Polk and Pinellas County.

Time Commitment:
4 hours per month or more
At least a 3 month commitment

Scheduling will be made to meet the availability of the volunteer as long as it is convenient for the girls and for the school.

Our Girl Scout Outreach Program best known as Rising Diamonds annually serves over 5,000 girls in schools and after school centers empowering them with the ability and confidence to make positive decisions about their health, education and future. Rising Diamonds provides a Girl Scout experience for girls Kindergarten to 12th grade during the school day in a 9 month program designed to promote a healthy self-image, life skills and social skills girls in the Central Florida area.

Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math.
