Ride-Along Trekker Volunteer - Helping Hands Food Pantry

When: 1 st & 3 rd Thursday from 1:00pm - 6:00pm (includes travel and set up time)

About: Assist a staff member with offering services to those visiting the food pantry. Job includes offering giveaway books & magazines, passing out event flyers, calendars, and occasionally offering a pre-determined craft.

Skills Needed:

  • Good customer service
  • Knowledge of Library services & upcoming events
  • Organizational Skills
  • Knowledge of a variety of books is a plus
  • Good listening skills

Description

I n January 2000 a special election established the Bulverde Area Rural Library District in the western portion of Comal County. The library’s name became The Bulverde/Spring Branch Library to reflect the service area of the Library District. The library is a beautiful 19,000 square foot facility with spectacular views. Our services include all types of physical and digital materials such as books, movies, audiobooks, music, magazines and newspapers. We offer many databases and free language learning resources. Our library provides literacy education such as ESL for non-English speakers, GED, and computer training courses, as well as children's and young adult programming, and adult leisure learning classes and workshops. We have public computers, printing, faxing and scanning services.
