Neighbor to Neighbor in Abilene, KS is a drop-in center for local women, open during the week from 9am-5pm. The goal is to provide a welcoming space where women can meet to share their time and talents, and to grow in their faith and abilities. We hope to provide fellowship, build relationships, teach new skills, and offer development in job skills, domestic skills, literacy, pain management, and parenting. We also provide in-house opportunities and services such as laundry, cooking classes, reading with children, gardening, mentoring and artistic learning opportunities.

Volunteering here will provide the opportunity to help execute our goals of personal and social growth, and to participate in the many activities and services provided to local women and children. You would also spend time assisting with office work, community outreach, maintaining a social media presence, and being a part of the day-to-day responsibilities around the house.

As a full-time volunteer you would be living at the Neighbor to Neighbor house, in Abilene, with Sister Loretta. Local volunteers are welcome to establish their own weekly schedules by working with Sister Loretta, based on personal schedules and the needs of the drop-in center.
